Lymphatic Drainage Device Vasoflow Gradient
The gradient system
Apparative intermittent compression is an integral part of the clinical, ambulatory and homeostatic decongestive treatment and prevention of edema disorders. The effectiveness of this proven form of therapy has been proven many times and is impressively documented in numerous studies.
Gradient systems are today due to their gentle and fast-acting effect to the preferred therapy devices.
The vasoflow® GRADIENT 3-chamber system focuses on the treatment of venous edema. The pressure-controlled compression build-up, in combination with gradient treatment pressure, quickly leads to a noticeable effect. The gradient treatment pressure realizes a physiologically efficient pressure gradient. Thus, the fluid mobilized from the higher pressure range (100%) can pass unhindered the range of low pressure (80% and 60%).
The concept of gradient intermittent compression is the result of extensive medical research and has been modeled on the manufacture of compression and thrombosis stockings.
The operating principle
The three air chambers of a treatment cuff are successively filled with air during a compression cycle starting distally. Chamber 1 with 100%, Chamber 2 with 80% and Chamber 3 with 60% of the set treatment pressure. All chambers remain filled with air until the last reaches the desired pressure.
Thereafter, the air escapes from all the chambers at the same time, and after a pause time, the inflation cycle starts again. Gradient treatment pressure realizes a gentle and gentle decongestion, which acts on the individual tissue layers and vessels. Tissue is depleted, venous reflux is promoted, metabolism and gas exchange are significantly improved.
The convincing treatment success with vasoflow® GRADIENT and the high acceptance by patients and practitioners characterize this therapy device.
The supportive home therapy
... is in some cases necessary and cost wise sensible. For chronic conditions, the therapy can continue at home after medical prescription and thus be supported considerably. The regulation of physical measures is reduced, and therapy-free periods can be bridged. The patient is optimally cared for, able to individually determine the beginning of the day of treatment and react spontaneously in the event of an acute complaint.
Home therapy finds legitimacy in treatment needs, chronic conditions, drug intolerance (such as diuretics), or intolerance to continuous compression.
In justified cases, the health insurance company will pay for the equipment. The attending physician monitors the therapy.
